- Kinkaku-ji and Ryoan-ji hours on official sites; both adjust seasonally.
- Nishiki Market individual vendor hours vary; some close mid-week.
- Fushimi Inari is open 24 hours, but the surrounding area is more accessible by train after 6 a.m.
- If visiting July–August: Gion Matsuri festival (July 1–31) closes streets and draws large crowds; some venues require advance tickets.
